21st MEETING OF THE CENTRAL AFRICAN BIODIVERSITY WORKING GROUP "GTBAC"
In view of the diversity of biological resources contained in their forests and taking into account the objectives assigned to the instrument, the COMIFAC countries (Central African Forests Commission) have overwhelmingly acceded to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) which has the following objectives: the conservation of biological diversity; the sustainable use of its elements and the fair and equitable sharing resulting from the exploitation of genetic resources.
The overall objective of this workshop is to decipher the decisions of the seventh meeting of the conference of the parties serving as the meeting of the parties
(CDP-RDP) to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety, from the first meeting of the Conference of the Parties serving as the Meeting of the Parties to the Protocol Nagoya on ABS and the twelfth meeting of the Conference of the Parties (CDP 12) to the CBD on the one hand and to take stock of the development of the project “implementation of the Nagoya Protocol at national and local level” by IUCN.
