A European meeting of Youth and Young People of the African Diaspora in view of the Africa-Europe Youth Summit in Lisbon was held from 22 to 25 July 2007 in Marly-le-Roi, France.
The objectives of this meeting were: to set up a political platform for dialogue and permanent action between African and European youth; to organize in an appropriate institutional framework the mobility in both spaces of this "Eurafrican" youth through support mechanisms for individual projects to the collective with high potential for co-development.
As a result of this meeting, a political platform for dialogue and permanent action between African and European youth and the setting up, in an appropriate institutional framework, of mobility in the two spaces of this Euro-African youth is organized.
The summary of the points discussed at this meeting were: the Millennium Development Goal; good governance and democracy; climate change and sustainable development; trade and socio-economic development; migration, mobility, intercultural dialogue and co-development; employment and the agenda for the improvement of working conditions.
